Background
Forkers were carrying out construction work to upgrade and install a new pump station in Stafford, West Midlands. The work is being carried out as part of a £5m investment in the area to cope with the increased residential and commercial growth in the area.
The Overall Objective
Due to excavation work carried out before the installation of the new pumping station, groundwater ingress occurred which required treatment before safe discharge to a nearby surface watercourse.
Solution
Siltbuster provided a 3 stage chemical treatment system for Stafford Pump Station, which was capable of treating flows of up to 80m³/hr whilst neutralising the high pH water.
