Background
In readiness for the construction of a new hotel complex at Heathrow Airport, ECS are conducting ground preparation works and service diversions at a highly constrained and complex site.
The Overall Objective
As part of trenching works being carried out through contaminated ground. All water needed to be collected in a series of networks and treated prior to discharge in order to meet Heathrow Airport’s strict water drainage quality criteria.
Solution
Siltbuster visited the Heathrow Airport Hotel site and planned the works to establish the correct treatment requirements to deal with the flow rates and enable contaminant removal.
Siltbuster installed an HB50 unit to ensure the water could be successfully treated and subsequently discharged from the site. Throughout the project, Siltbuster provided regular support to ensure any problems could be solved quickly.
Treated water was regularly sampled by Heathrow’s laboratory service and every sample successfully passed its quality criteria.
