Sirius Group Construction

Client:Sirius Group
Flow Rate:6m³/hr

Background

Sirius Group were carrying out remediation work on a site in Bolton. The site had a history of contamination and as a result of excavation work carried out and a series of storms.

The Overall Objective

The surface water runoff became contaminated with free phase and dissolved hydrocarbons. Sirius required a suitable system that could ensure the water could be treated whilst settling the solids and removing the floating oils.

Solution

Siltbuster were able to deploy a multi stage treatment system at short notice which could instantaneously treat 6m³ of polluted water. The water was pumped into a Siltbuster HB50-OWS where the solids were removed from suspension and capture the floating oils.

The treatment system prevented polluted water from escaping the site reduced the frequency of backwashing their carbon vessel, removing the need to dispose of at high costs.
