London City Centre Dewatering

Background

Excavations dug in London city centre began to fill with ground and surface water runoff. With works needing to continue in poor weather conditions, these excavations needed to be dewatered quickly whilst remaining compliant with the sites discharge consent.

The Overall Objective

The restricted site required a compact solution to be able to suitably meet their needs whilst ensuring work could continue without any disruption.

Solution

Siltbuster installed a 2” submersible pump in conjunction with a Siltbuster HB20 to dewater the excavations and enable discharge to the mains sewer.

Additionally Siltbuster HB20 was fitted with an impeller flowmeter to allow the site to record the volume of water discharged (a requirement of their discharge permit).
