Colwell Groundworks were carrying out repairs to a 3 acre lake containing carp, perch and roach totalling £1 million pound which had a leaking retaining wall.
The Overall Objective
Water which came into contact with the recently poured concrete quickly took on an alkaline pH value, which, if released back into the lake would likely damage and kill life within the ecosystem.
The limited space being a driving factor, and best practice not wanting to be compromised, the Siltbuster HD was selected. Small enough to be positioned in the tightest locations, the battery operated pH adjustment unit neutralised any alkaline waters present automatically and removed any solids which were present in suspension.
