Osborne Construction Bridge Pillar Repairs

Client:Osborne Construction

Background

Osborne Construction is one of the leading construction businesses in the UK. A series of bridges spanning the M5 Motorway required repair works at the foot of their pier’s.

The Overall Objective

Hydrodemolition was chosen as the preferential method to accurately remove the damaged concrete. However, with space being severely restricted and the blast waters needing treatment, a small yet powerful water treatment plant was required.

Solution

Two Siltbuster HD units were deployed along the side of the roadwork’s, each treating 5000 litres of highly alkaline, sediment laden water per hour. The integrated battery removed the need for a generator and minimised the amount of space used on site. By neutralising the waters on site, the need to tanker water away was removed saving hundreds of pounds.
