Alun Griffiths Road Construction

Client:Alun Griffiths
Flow Rate:100m³/hr

Background

Alun Griffiths were completing construction of a new road in the Cross Hands area of West Wales. With 11 hectares of land exposed during one of the wettest periods of 2014, a large purpose built attenuation pond quickly filled with surface water runoff.

The Overall Objective

As the weather continued to deteriorate, more solid laden water run off seeped into the lagoon. To avoid causing pollution, Siltbuster were tasked with treating the water.

Solution

Siltbuster installed a 2 stage flow proportional chemical treatment system at short notice, capable of achieving a flow rate of up to 100m³/hr. The digital dosing equipment used, eliminated any pollution risks and the water standards achieved were among the highest standards.
